We appreciate the behind-the-scenes work of our Support Services Department. We know that the health and safety of our students contributes to their learning ability. That is why our Support Services Department strives to maintain a clean, safe, and cared-for environment at our schools. Whether they are providing maintenance on our air conditioning system, cleaning our classrooms, or working on the grounds, the members of this department know what it takes to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.


Use of Facilities

As part of our position in the community, the Conemaugh Township Area School District makes the facilities of our district available for public use. However, it is also our job to see that the property our taxpayers have entrusted to us remains functioning, in good condition, and for the purpose for which it was built—education. For this purpose, we have developed these requirements to ensure our facilities remain useful to the community and in good operable condition:

  • CTASD is not liable for harm that arises from use of school facilities during any non-school related activity. All applicants must provide their own liability insurance to rent district facilities.
  • We will charge a rental fee to cover the costs of maintenance and cleaning.
  • All those requesting use of a school facility must follow the procedures set by the district, including the application and approval process, rules and guidelines, and cleaning procedures.
  • The use of school-owned equipment (including kitchen equipment, technology or office equipment, and supplies) is prohibited without written authorization; additional fees may apply.
  • The use of district facilities may not interfere with the school program and/or curriculum.
  • Any after-hours use connected to the school program (clubs, performances, PTA, etc.) must be supervised by a district employee.
  • The use of tobacco or alcohol on school premises is strictly forbidden.
