Registration and Immunizations

Thank you for considering Conemaugh Township Area School District for your educational needs. We are excited to partner with you during this stage of your child’s life. To find out more about our registration process and requirements, just keep reading and let us know if you have any questions.

Registration

A registration packet is available for all prospective students in the administrative office. Please call or email our district registrar, Rose Thomas, to make an appointment to pick up a registration packet. Mrs. Thomas can be reached via email or phone at (814) 479-3710. In addition to the registration packet, and in order to complete the process, we will need your child’s:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization Record
  • Proof of Residency
    • Rental agreement, lease, deed, or home contract
    • Change of driver’s license address/license with CTASD address
    • Utility bill, W2, bank statement, or income verification with CTASD address

Kindergarten Registration

Children who have reached the age of five (5) before the first day of September are eligible for our full-day kindergarten program. Parent/Guardians must complete all required documents before their child may attend school.

As a courtesy, Conemaugh Township Area Elementary school holds a registration fair during the second semester. If you miss that date, simply contact your school’s office, and staff members will assist you.

Migrant/Homeless Student Registration

We will directly enroll all migrant/homeless students into the appropriate school within our district even if parents/guardians are unable to produce the required documentation. The district will work with such students to track down personal records. We will not inquire about immigration status as part of the enrollment process.

Non-Resident Registration

Non-resident students may enroll in our district on a case-by-case basis as space permits. Non-resident families are responsible for their own transportation to and from school. Monthly tuition applies to all non-resident students with the exception of:

  • Children of district employees
  • Non-residents with contracts to buy/build/rent homes within the district

Immunizations

In accordance with state law, all students must be immunized to attend school within the district unless they have filed the appropriate exemption paperwork. We will keep a copy of every student’s Certificate of Immunization as part of his/her confidential health record.

Health Records

CT School District maintains a comprehensive health record for each student enrolled in the district. This record includes the results of required tests, measurements, screenings, regular and special examinations, and medical questionnaires as applicable by law. We keep all records confidential.
