CTASD Alumni
For the past 75 years, we have been educating students who’ve used the skills they learned at CTASD to succeed in life. We are proud of our graduates and want to extend an invitation to them to reconnect with former classmates, network with current and retired professionals, and influence the next generation coming out of Conemaugh.
Each month we will showcase the successes of our alumni by highlighting a different graduate or graduating class. While success looks different in different situations, we want to create an opportunity to acknowledge the thread that ties them all together.
Alumni Highlight
Brittney Snyder, a former Conemaugh Township student, graduated in 2020 and has many fond memories from high school. After graduating, she enrolled in and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. Snyder plans to pursue her master’s program this upcoming winter.
Reflecting on her time spent at the Conemaugh Township High School, Snyder mentioned several of her most treasured moments. One of her favorite memories involved the many connections with others that she built throughout her high school experience, all of which taught her the “lasting importance of building strong relationships.” During her student career, she was a member of the varsity soccer team for three years. She was also involved in a wide variety of clubs, such as S.O.N., F.C.A., the yearbook committee, and the Grill Team. Snyder noted that her favorite teacher was Mrs. Stankan (a former Contownian Network advisor and teacher), stating that, “she always helped me become very individualized in my work, and she helped me find my true skills and enjoyment within my academic studies. Mrs. Stankan was always a shoulder to lean on and showed so much love to all of her students. I am forever thankful to have built a long-term relationship with her, and I will forever cherish everything she has done for me.”
Brittney Snyder currently lives in Westmont with her fiancé, who is also a Conemaugh Township graduate. She now works as a first-grade teacher at the Westmont Hilltop Elementary School and is in her second year of teaching.
